With the end of 2016 coming up quickly, I have one more Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt to get finished up. All year, I have been making the RSC16 column quilt blocks in each month's assigned color. Now it is time to settle on a layout and get this one sewn up.
I had to lay these out on one of my smaller design walls that is tucked in a corner. This is not going to be the final layout. I was unable to get the gray blocks up on the wall but this gives you an idea as to how all the blocks come together. I really enjoyed making these blocks and I think it is going to be a fun quilt once it is finished.
How about, are you finding time to move some scrap projects along? I hope you share them!

The blocks do go together really well. It's going to be a very fun scrappy quilt.
It's a great display. I like how you have started with the darker colours on the bottom and worked their way to the top as a lighter colour. Very nice...
Now I wish I had stuck with the column project. I did January but then couldn't "see" how the diverse blocks would fit together so I quit. Like Jo said, the color gradation really makes it. But, then, that's kinda your trademark, isn't it?
love your scrappy quilt - I love scrappy quilts and have so many going and still think I will never run out of scraps
I've been following your project and wondered how it would all come together. It's looking great!
Your blocks are looking so pretty together! I'm looking forward to seeing your final layout. I know you've come up with something interesting and creative!
Mmm hmm! Rainbow heaven! I really like the column idea with these blocks. You are going to have so much fun quilting this one!
I love the layout! The colors are perfectly arranged into the columns.
I love your colourful quilt - a great way to follow the challenge.
I love the light to dark gradation in each color. Lovely!
Love your scrappy quilt! I wish I had found you guys at the end of last year, I would have loved to jump in on that scrappy 2016 quilt blog... maybe next year if they have it!
Wow this looks wonderful !! I loved the quilt in your previous post too :)
This is fantastic. The column idea is really cool. Love it.
That's eye popping! What a fun row quilt (or column quilt I guess, depending on which way you look at it)!
I like be how your blocks are put together from light to dark. It really adds a lot to your quilt!
Love how you made the strips light to dark. I still need to finish my last row but seeing all these coming together is making me want to get mine finished too!
I like the idea of a column quilt so much better than the usual sampler quilt of different single blocks. Of course your interpretation of it is spot on for a unique and lovely quilt; I expected nothing less from you!
Gorgeous!
These blocks look great laid out in rows of colour :)
your blocks look great. cant wait to see the finished quilt
I really like the gradation of color...this will be so pretty when it's finished!
That column quilt is AMAZING! It really caught my eye when I was scanning through my blog feed. So very beautiful! I can't wait to see the finished product.
This looks great! I like how you played with value as well as color.
Love the rows of color in this quilt!
I love the Ombre effect with your columns. This is going to be awesome.
I can't wait until I have scraps to join your linky!! In the mean time I love to look at everyones projects!
Your quilt above is awesome! I just love the different shapes and colors you have used!
This will definitely be an awesome quilt - so much to look at! Well done
Love your column quilt. You did a great job!
Doing this as a column quilt was a brilliant idea. I can't wait to see it finished.
I love your scrappy quilt on the design wall. I think all the blocks work well together. I am a scrap quilter too, so I need to start following your blog. Thanks for your inspirations.
