All of my quilting projects seem to follow one of two paths. Either they speed through the process or languish away half way completed for years.
Lucky for me, this pink string quilt chose the first path and is already quilted, bound and ready for a home!
I decided just to keep the quilting simple with some unevenly spaced horizontal lines in a soft pink thread.
I didn't have a lot of larger pink yardage in my stash so I had to piece it a bit.
I have been hoarding this cute scooter print for years but decided it was time to use it. Someone who is young at heart and has a passion for pink is sure going to love this one!
Maybe I should spend this weekend working on one of those projects that have languished....

I think the quilting is perfect for that quilt - nice finish
It looks so great! There's just something about string quilts that I love.
This one definitely sped through the full process. I actually think it's nice to have some variety in projects that go quickly and slowly and to have projects at different stages of the process. The scoot print is really cute and is a great backing for this quilt!
I like the quilting you chose for this one! My projects are like that, too - I get the top done in a burst of energy, and fall way behind on the finishing part. Stuck there this week on my monkey quilt! Someone will definitely love your pink masterpiece.
It's so sweet! I can see why you sped through this one!
Another lovely finish.
A lovely finish, and so quick too! Love the quilting you did and the scooter backing is very cute.
Such a cute quilt. I love that scooter backing it is so fun.
That scooter fabric is a hoot.... Your strings look really goo together
I for one love a pieced back! I'm so glad this quilt didn't languish in the great quilting WIP abyss! Its a beautiful pink delight!
I love the background! How fun and cheerful! My projects usually take a couple months to get quilted and bound. Thankfully I don't have anything waiting years to get quilted, but I haven't gotten on the 'fast track' yet!
I love scooter fabrics, and that one is new to me. Congrats on a very lovely, very pink finish!
How does this quilt, and your others, go about finding its home? I sometimes make a quilt from start to finish for a particular person, but more often I make quilts just because I want to make them. Most of them end up being given away. Sometimes, I find a recipient while I’m working on the quilt so by the time it’s finished, I know where it’s going. At other times, I hang onto it for a while before I give it away. One quilts I love very much, so I kind of want to have them at my house before I’m ready to let them go; I need to look at and enjoy them myself for a few months in person, and maybe even sleep under them. But eventually I am ready, and an occasion or person pop up and I give them away. I already have so many quilts that are mine, more than enough for all my beds and extras for the winter, plus quilts to snuggle under in the living room, and quilts on the walls all over the place.
That is darling! Perfect quilting choice. Loved seeing your finish!
Oh so pretty! I love this quilt.
It is pretty in pink! And the scooter fabric is perfect. Yes, yes, what old project are you going to resurrect this week? I have one I pledged to finish for our quilt guild, by December, but I really don't want to pull it out. Hmmm...
Another beautiful, creative finish! You keep rockin’ it!
Such a fun finish! The scouters on the back are really cute. Congrats on getting one of the TD list.
I love fast finishes. This one turned out super cute. I love the straight line quilting. Do you free hand it or use the channel locks?
LOVE this!
Pink! I rarely see pink quilts, so this one is a treat!
Love love love the scooters. This blushing beauty is going to make someone very happy.
That is a great quilt - I love pinks all shown off like that!
