Bunnies Run Amok

In a scrap bag from a friend, I found a couple of leftover strips from some bunny fabric she used in an Easter quilt.  I am not sure how old it is or even who manufactured the fabric.  I have been thinking about those bits of fabric and what I was going to do with it for years.

I recently decided to get it out and add some of my coveted veggie fabric.

And so this little bunny quilt was created!

This quilt was a bugger to photograph.  The bright sunlight kept reflecting back off the Shadow gray and the white bunnies.  So I gave up and settled for these photos in the shade.

My sister is always telling me stories of bunnies eating all of her garden.  I don't have bunnies but the squirrels, racoons and possums keep me on my toes.  But they are not nearly as cute!

If you look closely, you can see the clumps of grass I did for the quilting.

This quilt sold even before I finished it (yay!)  So the buyer got to choose her backing from my stash.

I thought these watermelons were a fun choice!

So cute! I love all the carrots in the bunny fabric! We have lots of bunnies in our neighborhood this year - between them and the squirrels not much is growing... ;(

Awesome! I found that bunny panel at an estate sale, and it has been living in my too precious to use zone (mental, not physical). It's so nice to see it in action.
