For my second entry into Amy Ellis' Blogger's Quilt Festival, I have a brand new finish to share!
This quilt is called Summertime Blossoms.
I recently revisited a quilt design I had published in Easy Quilts back in 2015. I called that quilt Nighttime Blossoms.
This quilt uses 8 fat quarters and I knew I wanted to make a new quilt using a bundle of Bonnie and Camille's Miss Kate collection I have been hoarding for years. Some Kona Lime worked perfectly for the background.
It is a quick and easy block to make and I love that there are not a lot of seams to match.
Here are both the Nighttime and Summertime Blossoms quilts together.
Lighting has been so difficult this time of year to get any good pictures.
I even took this quilt out in the wild to try and get some good pictures. The sun and shadows just never worked my way!
If you want to make your own quilt, I do have this pattern now for sale in both my Payhip and Etsy pattern shop. It is a great way to use up those fat quarters you have been hiding in your stash!
And don't forget to head to Amy's Creative Side to see all the other lovely quilts linked up for this year's festival. There is so much inspiration to be found there!

Both of these quilts are perfect.
That's great to see the summertime rendition! I've made this quilt, and it was sure fun and looks great when finished!
It's fun to get to see both versions of the pattern together. It's a beautiful version and congratulations on the new finish!
That's still an all-time favorite pattern of mine, so it's great to see you make it again. The lime background is Wonderful! Beautiful finish!
I love them both!
Congratulations on a great finish. Tessellations are a favorite of mine.
Such a neat design! I love how the lime background also looks like blossoms. And your quilting is so dense and lovely on this one! Congrats on a big, bold, beautiful finish :)
What a great quilt to close out the summer. Love the lime green and all those colorful blooms!
Love this design! I've certainly got plenty of fat quarters to use!
I do like that pattern & found the two quilts so different when made in different colourways. I had the same problem trying to take photos of my quilt as we are just coming out of winter here in Oz. Thanks for sharing & take care.
They are both really beautiful, my eye of course goes to the aqua!!
I like how it looks curved even though it isn't! Pretty design.
I think your photos are wonderful; the colors are brilliant and I love that you broke out your stash of B&C fabrics. I still have some and your pattern is perfect for these fabrics. Love, love, love the lime green you chose as the background; it really makes the other fabrics pop and it does say summertime.
A beautiful quilt, I love the colours!
Summertime Blossoms is beautiful. What a great finish. I enjoyed seeing it next to Nightime Blossoms.
I love seeing the same design rendered in different color palettes. And, wow, you created two very different quilts with the same design. BTW: I'm super impressed that you busted into all that lovely Miss Kate (and I'm super jealous b/c I don't have my own bundle of it to break into)!
