Oh Scrap! : A New RSC Color

October!  How did that happen?
But I have to admit, I am loving the cooler temperatures and the beautiful autumn colors.

This month is all about dark and sage green.
Because those colors are so different, I decided to make two of my zigzag blocks for the month.  My blocks measure 12.5" and are made from 2.5" x 4.5" rectangles.

I also made two quarter log blocks with a nine patch.  These blocks are 10.5".

These two Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts will continue on into next year.  I have about half of the blocks sewn that I need for each quilt.

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!
Quilting is more fun than Housework

  1. I'm loving BOTH of your projects in sage and dark GREEN!!!

  2. Fun to see your different greens separated in the zig zag blocks and combined in the log cabin blocks! They're pretty both ways!

  3. It feels like every other day theres a new color from the RSC challenge! Why does time have to fly by so fast?! I enjoy seeing all the different versions from everyone!

  4. Pretty blocks, dark green is fun to play with ;)

  5. I like both of your projects too.

  6. Perfect blocks for RSC and to use scraps! Another year and the quilt will be nice and scrappy!

  7. Beautiful green blocks to add to your collection, looking forward to seeing the finish for this one.

  8. Quarter log cabins...with nine patch...very interesting!

  9. I am still in love with your 9 patch cabins!!

Thanks for taking the time to leave a comment. I enjoy reading each and every one and try to respond with an email.
