Oh Scrap! : Slow Progress

I did not get a lot of time to sew with my scraps this week.  But I did carve out enough time to make a little bit of progress on my postage stamp quilt.

I have finished 12 blocks out of the 20 I have planned for the quilt.  This late night photo really doesn't do the blocks any justice.  I am really pleased with how they are turning out.
I am finally into some new colors and can put my red, pink and orange bins away.

I am looking forward to sewing with purple - it is my favorite color so I have a lot of scraps to choose from.  I now have a whole lot of cutting ahead of me before I can even lay any more blocks out.  I will me lucky if I finish a block or two by next week!

*********************************************************

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

That is going to be fabulous! Have you said how big the small squares are and how many you're using in each block? Hope you're having a restful Sunday after your busy week!

That's a lot of pieces, but it's working out so well. Love that color transitions.

What a scrap buster this is! Love the color play and the fact that it makes sense. Some scrap buster quilts are too busy for my liking, but I really do love this one. ;^)

You sure have lots of scraps and you make lovely quilts with them. This is an art quilt. Have fun with the finish.
