I am certainly enjoying spring - both outside and in my sewing room. The RSC color for March is green and I finished quite a few blocks this week. Yay!
I added a few more postage stamp blocks to the stack...
I gave them a quick count - hoping I was almost finished with them. But I only have 26 completed out of a needed 42 blocks. I am going to have to do another "solids" search so I can finish a bunch more blocks.
Here are the first three month's worth of blocks up on the wall. I am not sure on what block layout I will go with. As my
Well Suited pattern shows, there are lots of options!
As I make the flying geese for my blocks, I am immediately turning the bonus triangles into pinwheels. I am adding the blocks to some blue pinwheels I made when I made this
all blue Scrap Mixology quilt.
Here are all the completed blocks to date squished together up on my design wall. I will probably add a sashing of some sort between the blocks. I just haven't figured out yet what that will look like.
I think I still have at least two more RSC block designs to finish for March. Which is great, because I still have a ton of green scraps left!
Happy Scrappy Sunday!
I also wanted to remind all of you that Spring also brings the Quilty Orphan Adoption Event. I will be posting the link up on this Thursday the 18th. So dig through your sewing room to see if there is an older UFO you want to adopt out. It is an easy way to get it off your list!
You can read more about
the last event here - which will give you an idea of how the event goes. .
I already have my abandoned project picked out!
