Oh Scrap! : Orange is Always a Good Choice

There is no real reason why I made the scrap blocks I did this week except Orange is always a good choice to sew with!

The main focus this last week was to start sewing all the Covered In Love blocks into some quilt tops so I can start quilting them.  So I used these postage stamp blocks for one of my RSC quilts as a leader/ender project.

I now have a total of 21 blocks completed.  I think that is the halfway point on this project.  As I come across a solid I haven't used in any of the finished blocks, I am just cutting it and sewing up the block.

I hope to finish this quilt this Spring so I can donate it to the Hands2Help quilt drive.

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

You might as well keep making those - they are great! What size squares are you using? 1.5 inch was just too small for me! :)

Postage Stamp blocks always appeal to me. These remind me of mine with the black borders. Need to make a few more now that my scraps are on the rise again!

While I agree that orange is always a good choice, I'm glad to see that you included some YELLOW scraps for the RSC, as well!!
