Oh Scrap! : A Bit of Progress

First, I apologize for not sharing any finishes this last Friday but Blogger decided to not allow any uploading of photos Thursday night when I went to write my post.  Then the weekend just got away from me...So I guess I will share my finish next week.

Today I want to share the progress I have made on my scrappy projects.
I was able to finish one more blue color block that I cut the pieces back in April.  I think this last block catches up all of my RSC projects just in time to switch to purple for June.

I also finished up four more little basket blocks.
I am digging through my Kaffe Fasett scraps for this one.

They are looking pretty awesome all together.  I haven't decided how big I will make this quilt.  If I stick with a smaller layout, I think I only need 7 more blocks.  However, if I decide to go bigger, it will mean I need to make 23 more blocks - the bummer with on-point layouts!

What are you doing with your scraps?

*********************************************

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Quilting is more fun than Housework

I had that problem with blogger on Thursday night also! But right before bedtime I was able to get the photos uploaded.

That problem was here in Canada also!
Meanwhile, I love those baskets and the bits of Kaffe fabrics is just perfect to glow against the white. On point lay outs are so pretty!

The issues with Blogger are getting more frequent. I wonder if it's sign that I should switch to another platform? The baskets make an awesome picture all together like that. Enjoy the new colour of the month! ;^)

I'm surprised at myself how much I'm loving your baskets! I think it must be the scrappy nature of them! It certainly has a ton of potential! :)

Knock on wood, I haven't had that problem with Blogger. Yet. But I haven't been on in weeks either. I love your basket blocks. Such cheerful fabric.

I used scraps for my H2H baby quilts this year. So wonderful to use up those for a good cause!

That sure was a strange glitch with Blogger. So many bloggers were frustrated by it. Glad it is back to normal. Love your projects, as always!

I think you weren't the only one who was having that issue last week. I've seen it mentioned on more than one blog this weekend. Blogger is annoying sometimes! I love those baskets you're making! Hope you're enjoying your holiday weekend. It's raining like crazy here!

I sure like your scrappy baskets! I'm about to embark on some string piecing for a project. I've way too many strings and I need to decrease the volume. . .note I wrote decrease as I don't know that I'll ever sew them all!

It may be a total bummer to need to make so many more blocks but -ooh -- it will be so pretty.

It's always dangerous for me to look at your blog, because I want to make everything you're making. Love the "color block". Those baskets look intricate and pretty.
