On My Design Wall

I found some time this morning to sew the blocks that have been taking up space on my design wall for a couple of months into a quilt top.  That means I can start working on something new!

I decided to work on the string blocks I shared Sunday.  I am making some fun scrappy houses out of them.  I haven't decided if I am going to run the stripes vertically or horizontal.
But I kind of like them vertically!

On the "flying geese" roofs, I am using the bonus triangles to create a bunch of HSTs - which I plan to use to create an outer border.

I am excited about this one!

I like the stripes vertically (but then again, I haven't seen them horizontally). Looks like fun!

That's a fun way to use those string blocks! I think I would like them vertically, too.

I vote vertical too. They look taller & thinner that way! Ha! Love how you're making the outer border match the roofs. Looks great!

Perfect plan for those cut away triangles. This is a great project. Can't wait to see it evolve.

Your stripey strips make wonderful little houses, such a great idea to use up some of those never ending small scraps.
