Just popping in today to share a quick little finish.
I recently taught one of my Scrap Mixology workshops and we were talking out making holiday gifts. We decided the Two Bit block would make a fun potholder. So when I got a chance, I made a couple to toss in my training bin to share at future workshops.
I pulled the mini 9 patch out of my spare parts and the rest of the fabric came out of the scrap bins. I think they turned out kind of cute. They are purple...what is not to love!
Here are a few of the blocks the students made. There were lots of Christmas quilts started.
Here is a closeup of one students blocks. She is using contemporary florals with bright colors. I think it is going to be amazing when it is finished.
This weekend I am teaching the Well Suited block. It should be another fun day sewing with scraps!
I am just finishing up the binding on a quilt from my stash. Yes, a finish that is not made from scraps! I hope I have it finished to share this Friday!
Connecting Threads is currently having their Big Sale. There is a new deal each day. Definitely a great time to stock up!

This block really makes an interesting quilt. I guess the key is to keep the nine patch all the same? I struggle with scrappy.
The blocks make perfect pot holders, and it's so fun to see all the fun combinations from the students. I hope you have another great weekend!
Great Idea!! and awesome student blocks!
I like the black and white 9P!
I love your blocks!! Hugs,
