Another Finished Tablerunner

Can you believe it?  This is the third month in a row I have finished an older UFO!

I have had these six appliqued blocks squirreled away for over a decade.

With the help of a friend, I finally figured out what to do with them.  It required me making one more block but I quickly finished that one evening.

I added in some negative space and I made this sweet table runner.

I knew I didn't have the time to make enough blocks for a whole quilt. And I don't know why I felt like I couldn't just give the blocks away. I am happy that I came up with a solution that I could live with.

I decided to quilt it with some simple echo quilting.

I dug around in my Kaffe Fassett Collective fabric for a backing and binding.

My neighbor saw it and fell in love with it.  Now I have to decide if I am ready to sell it!

I still have many more UFOs to finish up so I am hoping I can keep up the momentum...

I really like that echo quilting--this is such a neat runner--with negative space to place a centerpiece on. Beautiful work on the applique too...hugs for a great weekend Julierose

It's fantastic, I love how you grouped the blocks together. And hooray for having matching background fabric to pull it all together!!
