A few weeks ago, I mentioned one of my quilt buyers wanted some small sized quilts to gift and to donate. Since then, I have been going through my stash and pulling some fabrics for inspiration.
As I went through my stash, I was finding a lot of kid friendly fat quarters so the first pattern that came to mind was my Wiggle Time pattern. It needs 5 fat quarters and about 2 yards of a background fabric.
Here is the first quilt I made and finished.
I loved this colorful balloon fabric.
It was easy to add some bright red, yellow and orange prints from my stash. I also had some Kona Navy that worked perfectly for the background.
I found an orange and blue print in my stash for the backing. It was some bits leftover from a previous backing so I had to piece it quite a bit. But the seams hardly show.
The second quilt I am making will have a cat and mouse theme. Most of the prints are very soft in color so I pulled some Kona Snow for the background.

Your pattern is so versatile! It has to be fun to pull five fat quarters and know the finished quilt is going to be dynamic every time!
I love that you were able to pull so many kits together and that they will either become quilts you can sell or bundles to sell at your events. I'm personally really drawn to those astronaut and space prints! :)
That's such a great design! Love seeing your finished quilt and the fabric pulls for more. That balloon fabric is so cute! I think your kit idea is a good one, too. I bet people would be interested!
Been admiring this pattern. Took the leap and bought it today!
