From a Few Scraps

It doesn't take much to distract me.

One of my clients brought me a handful of scraps from a quilt she brought me to quilt for her.

Did I have a use for them?  What a silly question!

In no time at all, I created this fun tablerunner.

I pretty much kept the pieces the size she gave them to me.

The colors in the horse fabric in the center is amazing.  I used a dark blue peppered cotton that I have been hoarding for quite some time to frame all those lovely fabrics.

I love all those oranges, purples and pinks.

One of the great things about small projects like this is you always have something in your stash for the backing.

Now that I found a home for those scraps, I can get back to working on all the other scrap projects in my sewing room.

We did have one really beautiful day that I was able to get outside.  But now I think we have rain in the forecast for over a week.  It will be a good time to stay indoors and sew!

Wishing you all a wonderful weekend!

Not only backing, but small pieces of batting, too! Great use of those scraps.

The blue peppered cotton is a fantastic frame for the scraps. It's been raining here almost nonstop for 2 weeks so I'm ready to trade with you. Hopefully we get some sun. Have a great weekend!
