Oh Scrap! : Scraps Galore

I almost forgot to get this week's Oh Scrap! post written.  The exterior of my house was painted this week so there was a lot of activity going on.

This weekend was spent putting back all the things I moved away from the house and making sure everything was finally watered well.

I am still working on the last eight Bloom blocks for one of my projects.  I have been busy sewing and trimming all of the required half square triangles.

I am so close to having these all completed.

Here is the current condition of my cutting space!  In fact, almost all of the flat surfaces in my sewing room look like this. All of those scrap piles are for different projects I am working on..

Slowly they are getting done!

*********************************************

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

I just need one more block for my Bloom quilt, too! Then to figure out those setting triangles. Good thing I have your directions for that! I bet your house is looking wonderful! Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

When does my cutting space doesn't look like yours, I wonder. I use another spot with a brand new cutting board to take pictures of the blocks because there's not enough room on the regular cutting board, haha. I need to clean my sewing room ... someday. Lucky you, you are done painting the house. We just started this weekend. Pictures next week. Have a great one. ;^)

I'm laughing, my cutting board looks just like yours most of the time! Maybe it's the sign of a creative mind? Or just someone who loves scraps!

That's how my cutting mat looks except that my mat is only 18 x 24 so the space to cut is a whole lot smaller.

Funny how we pull a few scraps of the right color for a project and pretty soon, we've a plethora of options that we're cutting for other projects. . .Doesn't it seem like the more we use, the more scraps we seem to generate? How does that happen???

Hi Cynthia, I understand the state of your quilting studio - I just can't seem to get a handle on my little piles either! On the positive side, I did use up the same scraps for a couple of my projects - so at least the pile was well used. It is time to tidy some of it....eventually :-) Thanks for the party. Have a great week.

Creativity is messy. I am sure you will create lovely things from all that mess. Hope the painting job is done to your satisfaction.
