Oh Scrap! : Getting Prepped

I was finally able to get out my orange scraps this week.  My bin is really full but a lot of the scraps are solids so it took some time to sort through everything.

I didn't get too much sewing done.  Just the two little switchplate blocks toward the bottom.  The ones on the right were some I made last year.  I have to get them out so I don't repeat fabrics.

I am also cutting for my heart blocks and 2.5" color blocks.

I only have a few more pieces to cut and then I can start sewing.  The sorting and cutting takes the most time for me.  Hopefully I can have all my orange RSC blocks completed by the end of the month!

It will feel good to catch back up...

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!

  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.

Orange you organized! That's a lot of prepping scraps! And all this on top of your lovely and prolific work on Compassion Quilts. Have a good week!

Looks like you are ready for a fantastic sewing session. Sorting and cutting take the longest here too. Not to mention that I see squirrels everywhere during that time too, lol. Enjoy! ;^)

As soon as all sorting and cutting is ready, sewing will be faster. Enjoy.

Organizing and cutting take the most time for me too, but it's so much fun going through the scraps and remembering previous projects. You have a great collection of orange scraps!
