I have some great news to share today!
There is a local agency called Bags of Love. I have mentioned them before because they are one of the places I donate kids' quilts. BOL makes and fills age appropriate bags for kids in crisis. These bags can include pajamas, underwear, toys, hygiene items, school supplies, etc. and each bag contains a quilt or warm blanket.
Because I donate to them, I get their newsletter. I was reading that they project to be 900 quilts short by the end of the year (yes, they give out that many bags!). Thanks to all of you, I contacted them and let them know that I have an overflow of kids quilts and I already made a delivery of a dozen quilts. They let me know that they are in greatest need of infant/toddler and teen size quilts. I assured them that I will be bringing more through December. It is so wonderful that WE were able to step up and help fill a need. They were so happy to know that they were getting some help.
If you want to read more about Bags of Love, I have a link here.
These donations of kids' quilts will not affect the deliveries to the local hospital. The commitments to them are still being fulfilled. I never thought we would have so many extra quilts to donate so soon. So many of you are helping out in so many ways. I really couldn't do this without all of you <3
Thanks you so much!

Wow, I'm so glad that you were able to help fulfill a big need. It boggles my mind that they are 900 quilts short. Beautiful quilts, Cindy; I'm sure they will be loved and appreciated!!
I supply quilts to a couple of places like Bags of Love. It is very sad and difficult to believe there is such a huge and on-going need.
love the giraffe quilt - very cute
Nine hundred quilts. . .short? Wow! I can't imagine. Way to step up Cindy! Those are amazing quilts!
900 quilts short! That means that OVER 900 kids will be helped during the year. All the while, some people are billionaires. There's really something wrong with our society. Bravo to you, Cynthia and Cindy, for your combined effort to help. Every little bit counts. ;^)
How wonderful that you and your helpers can help supply some of the needed quilts. I donate to a similar organisation here in New Zealand, Foster Hope and they also supply backpacks. The sad fact is that kids often get taken into care with their belongings in a bin bag. How humiliating, so these back packs filled with pyjamas, undies and a warm quilt help the children to settle down more easily into their foster homes.
All three are so fun!
I wonder if Cindy would/could share a link to patterns for Quilts 2&3. It looks to be the same pattern with different block-corner treatments (HST vs mini SQU), and change of colors. Isn’t it WONDERFUL to be able to produce quilts that are so marvelously yummy and the finished product is so different.

I am in awe. Thank you. Persevere as you are. I am making comfort quilts in my own little corner and they go out the door when they made. No shortage of need.
Very cute quilts. So glad you were able to step up and help. That's a significant short fall. How many bags do they give out a year?
