The current block drive is the Split 4_patch in bright colors for kids. We added some to the Happy Blocks we made in our last kids' block drive....
Here is the first quilt!
Don't they look fabulous together?
This quilt has a fun fruit theme. Lots of pink so we just decided to add a pink flannel that Kristin sent for the back. Really looking forward to playing more with these blocks.
This quilt measures 56" x 64".
I admit, we just got this top and backing from Cindy. But I loved it so much, I put it right on my frame and quilted it up. I loved the colors and ended up taking it with me to a local guild meeting. As I sat hand sewing the binding, I knew it would draw quilters in and I could tell them about Many Hands.
Cindy also sent in this fun gold Kaffe Fassett top and backing. I usually only quilt block drive quilts and I send the donated tops out to local quilters. But I sometimes break "the rules" so I can spend a bit of time with some.
This lovely quilt top was sent in by Linda/Margie (a Mother/Daughter team). The pattern may be Cottage Bleu. They sent in quite a few tops long ago and they were held up for a bit. But I now have local quilter Laurie working on their stuff and they are finally getting done. Laurie loved this quilt and finished it off beautifully with a tighter twisted quilting. We also want to thank Karen for the lovely yellow/blue floral backing. (The green butterflies were a scrap from a previous quilt.)
If this quilt looks familiar, you are correct. We received two jelly rolls so we made two similar quilts. Board Member Pam sewed this quilt top together. We had this lovely green batik that Karen sent for the backing. Laura quilted up this one too.
I was expecting to share these quilts last week but it just didn't happen.
Better late than never!

The split 4 patch blocks look fantastic with the happy blocks, and what a perfect binding to pull it all together. I love getting to see the quilts, whenever you have the time to share them. :)
Some fabulous quilts are rolling off the assembly line.

Love that first split 9 patch quilt, it's so fun and bright. You definitely have some winners this week.
The split four patch combination is great! I too love seeing the quilts. Each one is coordinated so beautifully!
