Some Finishes to Love!

Happy Friday Everyone.  It was a busy week for us.  We had a Board Meeting mid-week, we are just cleaning up from one fundraiser and we have another one next week.
Whew! My head is swimming right now!

But check it out!  I finally finished one of the heart quilts using blocks from our last block drive.  We actually used this quilt in our booth recently.  It looked awesome hanging there in the sunshine.  On the back is a soft pink tiny heart print thanks to Kristin.  I think we have more yardage of these hearts so you will be seeing more of it on the back as we finish these heart quilts.

This quilt was donated by Penny who is one of our board members.  She made two very similar quilts.  The first one was processed about a month ago.

Mari sent in this lovely sampler quilt top.  The print in the border and the sashing is a summery orange and lemon print.  Kristin also sent in this backing.  It wasn't quite big enough but I was able to find a scrap that worked with all those pretty shades of blues.

Elizabeth made this rich, bold red quilt top.  We have had it for quite some time.  I was waiting for the perfect dark burgundy backing.  Thanks to Mari, one arrived.  Then I sent it off to Gloria to quilt it.  I really love how it turned out.

Now for some scrappy goodness.  This quilt top made me get out some scraps and start cutting strips.  Kristin sent in this quilt top and backing.  She also sent in some binding - which I temporarily lost until I gave up looking for it and sewed something else on there.  It will work on another quilt someday.  For the quilting, I just did some large square continuous quilting.

Hope all of you have a wonderful weekend.

The next block drive has been announced.  You can read more about it on this post.
I can't believe I am already receiving some finished blocks!

The heart quilt looks great! I will be putting 20 blocks for the next drive in the mail to you today, along with a finished small bright quilt that I'm hoping might be useful to one of the organizations you support.

Those are definitely some finishes to love. I really love the heart quilt! Do you have a pattern for that somewhere? I guess I could look in your pattern shop myself, lol! Happy Friday!

I copied her block and made them. Make 10 half square triangles and cut 20 2 and 1/2 “ squares, make 4 , 9 patches.

Clarification make 4 nine patches. Cut 20 solid red, 10 half square triangles of red/white and 6 solid white squares. This pattern used 2 1/2” pieces unfinished.
