Sounds crazy, but I don't think I even ran my sewing machine all week.
That hasn't happened for YEARS!
So today, I am just going to share some of the scrappy quilts made by others that have crossed the finish line. I did sew the bindings on some of these...
I love this quilt! What a great way to use up a bunch of scraps. Jean sent this top and the backing. She even used some larger stash pieces for the back. We have a new local longarm quilter, Wanda, and this was one of the first quilts she did for us.
I thought this pattern was a great way to use up some Kaffe Fassett scraps - I have a whole tub full of them! Kathy sent in this quilt top and I might have to copy her design. In fact, I think she sent in two of these quilt tops. We had a bright purple minky that was just the right size. I didn't write down where it came from but I think it might have come from an estate sale.
Turquoise and coral are such a great combination. And the yellow works so well in there too. Elizabeth sent in this quilt top. She also sent in this adorable flannel house fabric for the backing - worried that it wasn't big enough. It was a tight fit but I was able to get it done without adding more fabric.
Kristin sent in this quilt top and backing. I always love these X style designs, but I don't think I have ever made one. The Kaffe Fassett outer border sure ties all those scraps together.

Mina sent un another of her boxy rectangle quilt tops. We love getting these! Karen sent us an amazing pink and blue daisy print that worked so well with the quilt top. I then sent it off to Terry to be quilted. She loves working on Mina's quilts so I send a number of them her way.
Scraps make some of the best donation quilts!
