I did work on a few scrappy projects this week, but I forgot to take any photos. Mostly, I was doing a bit of a clean-up and I just finished a bunch of partially sewn blocks and binding strips. I guess we will have to settle for some photos of some quilt tops donated by local volunteers.
Our Board Secretary Karen has been working through some of her batik scraps. This is one she donated to us. I love the rich, warm colors. The backing was sent to us by Stephanie. I did have to add a bit of an orange scraps. Local longarm quilter Laura did her magic and finished it up.
Chris has been making a lot of quilt tops for us lately. I love these little irregular six in blocks that have a novelty print in the center. I bet this design works through a lot of scraps. Karen supplied this amazing green print for the back and Cindy quilted it up.
I rarely make tiny 6" blocks, but they sure are inspiring when I see what others do with them.
Here is what Karen did with her cooler colored batik scraps. A different Karen donated the green batik we used on the backing and Laura did her magic on this one too.
I just love how both of these turned out.
Did you do any scrappy sewing this week?

We received this amazing drop shipment from Marshalls Dry Goods last week and I don't know what generous person sent it. Anyone claiming it? It was just what we needed to fill some of our shelves!
