My Happy Mail

 I finally had a chance to open up some happy mail I recently received.

I bought four cuts at 4 yards each from Connecting Threads for some future quilt backings.  The bottom print is a reorder - I love that soft red and was so happy to get more of it.

The fabulous green print is called is Chaise - and it is still available in four colors.  I hope to get more of these prints soon.

And the top two orange and blue prints are called Dapper.  I wasn't quite sure about these prints when I bought them but once I see them in person, I am ready to buy more.  There are still four colors available in this print too.

I already have plans for the red and the blue prints so you will most likely see these in an upcoming quilt.  I always find myself with lots of sewing time in the winter.  So that means lots of quilt finishes!

Oh Scrap! : So Many Projects

 The last few days have been filled with lots of scraps!

I cut and sewed two more of my postage stamp "pixel" blocks.  I now have four done so that leaves 11 more to do.  This is definitely a project where I am now asking myself...

"What was I thinking!"

I added some low volume pieces to the red and blue scraps I cut last week.  I have been mindlessly sewing them into blocks.  They go together quickly so I already have enough to make a quilt top.

I have also been sewing away on my blue version of my Well-Suited quilt.  I miscounted during my cutting so I have to scrounge up more fabric before I can continue.  I also need a free design wall so I can start cleaning up the blocks by removing the dog ears and deciding on a final layout.

I have been using the flip corner technique for my geese blocks so I have lots of bonus triangles.  I have been turning these into these cute pinwheel blocks.  I will add these to the RSC Well Suited rainbow pinwheels so next year I should have enough for a quilt.

The scraps are flying right now at my house...What is up at yours?
