Quilty 365 Finished Flimsy - OMG

Once I made the decision to make my Quilty 365 project a lot smaller than originally planned, it did not take me any time at all to sew up the blocks I had pieced so far.

During the month of June, I still hand appliqued 28 circles but rather than sew them into more blocks, I used them to finish out the outer border on the quilt top.

I really do love how the finished flimsy turned out but I am so glad to have this project off my list.  It really became a chore to try and sew a circle each day.
I guess I need to change the name of the quilt from Quilty 365 to Quilty 168!

I am going to make quilting and binding this project my OMG goal for July.  I can see me easily folding this one up and stashing it away.  Thank goodness Heidi at Red Letter Quilts helps us to stay focused on finishes!

I know you ended up saying you didn't like your quilt but I love the design - it turned out really well - but you were right to stop when you did - if you are not enjoying a project it becomes a chore and then why do it - quilting is all about fun right.

This is beautiful! When a project is no longer fun, it is time to finish it or put it away for awhile. You made the right choice. Blessings, Gretchen

I love how it turned out! Your circles made a perfect border. I realized recently that the block a day idea doesn't really work for me either. I just can't keep up!

Looks great, I really like this layout! I envy you the near-finish- dots are swarming all around me these days.

I'm halfway thru the year also, I confess to power sewing not one a day as I've several other projects that I'm working on.

Love how you chose to add the half square triangles to the mix. Have fun with the quilting!

It is turning out really well! Maybe some fun bubbles will appear in your quilting? And what will you choose for a binding, I wonder?

This is the perfect solution for those Quilty 365 blocks! It looks like it was planned from the very start! Great job of making it your own!

What a great finish for your circle blocks! I love that you used the solid black for the circles and it works so well with the HST's. This quilt is fantastic!

I love your idea and the way the top came out.

This is such a great quilt! I often run out of hand work to carry with me, so I think I'll borrow your "circles in the sashing" idea. It really turned out beautifully.

It's gorgeous, Cyndy! But I can see how you would tire of keeping up with the one-a-day goal. Lovely quilt to keep for yourself!
