A new month signals it is time to start working on a new Rainbow Scrap Challenge color.
September is orange - and I have lots of scraps to choose from.
September is orange - and I have lots of scraps to choose from.
I thought I would start out by sewing up my bowtie blocks for the month. In no time at all, I had 6 eight inch blocks completed. I am using my Kaffe Fassett scraps for this one and had no problems coming up with some pretty oranges.
I added them to a few of the blue test blocks I made a few months back.
I think I am going to really like this one!

Behind red, orange is my favorite color....and I really like the Bow Ties. Love your blog -- a fellow scrappy girl.
Your bow ties look great in the oranges! I'm excited to add some orange to mine, too. Have a great Sunday!
love the bow tie block and I love all the fabric that is out now for using for backgrounds
Those are some pretty oranges. They look great with the blues.
Your RSC Bowties in ORANGE are AWESOME!! I think I'm going to like this quilt. too. Enough negative space and small enough pieces to tame the Kaffe a bit.
Loving those bowties! I'm working on one too called God's Green Earth, but in predominantly green colours (not surprisingly) and totally enjoying it which is ironic because this block has not always appealed to me. I've been converted!
Everything's better with orange, right? I really like how the new ones look with the blue ones, too. You've got another beauty in progress!
One of my favorite quilt blocks! That's not a color I have much of, orange.
Those pretty blocks are blending well together.
Love the way your bow tie blocks are fitting together.
Love your Bow Ties, what size are the blocks Cynthia?
That's a nice block to showcase the Kaffe Fasset scraps.
Your Bowtie blocks are going to make a very fun quilt. That's a block that has long been on my "to make" list. Maybe next year?
