I love Oh Scrap! Sundays...
But with all the inspiration that is linked up each week, I find myself fighting the urge to start a new project or try a new block.
Recently I saw some cute strawberry blocks that Cathy over at Sane, Crazy and Crumby Quilting started making for an older UFO she has. Their cuteness has been bouncing around my brain and in order to justify starting a new quilt, I thought "Wouldn't it be fun to make a garden themed Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilt". So while my red scraps were on my cutting table, I whipped up my own 12" version. My plan is to make garden themed blocks in each RSC color. They will be different sizes and maybe technique - who knows where it will lead!
Let's see who inspires me this week!
*********************************************************
- This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
- If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Sounds like a very fun RSC project. That strawberry block is is really cute.
That sounds like it would make a very interesting quilt!
Your strawberry is so much fun! It looks like a great new project to me. I'm looking forward to seeing what you come up with!
OMG -- so darn cute!
Love it :)
This is one of the cutest strawberries that I have seen. I especially like the cap on the strawberry and the fabric choices are divine. Good luck on the entire project.
A rainbow of strawberries - how fun! Can't wait to see the rest that you stitch up.
I've always thought that strawberry was adorable! Yours is amazing and I can't wait to see this new project you jumped into!
Your strawberry is prettier. I just love it. A fruit bowl quilt. Sounds so much fun. I am tempted to follow in this new adventure. Enjoy! ;^)
P.S. Don't count on me to stop you. You make such wonderful things, why stop? ;^)
LOL!! I know the feeling. Each link-up is filled with SEW many new possibilities!! How can we resist?
What a lovely strawberrys!
Cute!!!
Yes, Cathy's blog should probably have a special patch warning visitors of likely contagion.
Can't wait to see more fruits. I'm sure I'll be inspired and tempted to follow along. I'll let you do the thinking/designing!
I can't wait to see :)
I could just take a big bit out of that delicious looking strawberry.
You are just my kind of person. Love scraps, keep starting things.
Oh this looks fun! I guess strawberries are a gateway fruit to scrap addiction?
Ha ha, "gateway fruit"! Janine is funny :) I love those strawberries and the idea of a scrappy fruit quilt is sooooo tempting...
Ooo! I like your garden theme!
Or how about a food theme? Like maybe potato chips? ;)
That strawberry is super cute! I think your garden blocks sound fun.
I so - or should that be "sew" - understand your temptation. I get it too and Cathy often leads me astray. Her Strawberry block also called out to me but I have been strong and resisted it so far. But it is squirreled away in my head. Your garden project sounds lovely, look forward to seeing what other blocks you conjure up.
Sounds like a real fun idea. The strawberry is a good start.
