Baby Bowtie Quilt

I knew this quilt was going to be a quick finish!

Last weekend I pulled some pink scraps and started making these 8" pink bowtie blocks.

And I am already sharing my fun finish!
The sweet quilt measures 40" square.

I used the same white solid for all of the blocks.  I had a leftover piece that was about the correct size from who knows what older project.  It was slightly different than the Kona White I keep on hand so I wanted to use it up.

I went with swirl quilting in white thread - my favorite go to quilting.

I used one of the fabrics I recently purchased from Connecting Threads for the back.  This lovely soft pink is one of Amanda Jean Nyberg's (Crazy Mom Quilts) Emma & Myrtle collection.  I spied it in the clearance section.  Seeing how cute it is on this quilt, I just might have to go back and buy some more!

I made this little quilt using the Instructions/coloring sheets available in my Payhip shop.  Layouts for all of the sizes shown above (Queen, Lap, Baby) are included in the download.

A big thanks to all of you who have already purchased the layouts.
I hope you share your finished quilts!

I was wondering what you were going to do with the pink bowties you showed last weekend. This is so fun in all pink, and it didn't take very many! I love it!

So soft and pretty! I need to do a bow tie quilt one of these days. It's a versatile block! And I know what you mean about wanting to use up a piece of white that isn't the same as most of your go-to stash of white :)

So many lovely pinks will make a beautiful baby quilt. The quilting works well, too. Congratulations. Always good to finish some quilts and send them to good homes.

You got a lot of "mileage" out of those bowties! These all look great, and the pink one is so pretty. That's one of my favorite colors, so I may be a bit biased!

I like the big blocks. Never considered doing a bowtie with blocks that big, but it worked perfectly in your quilt. Thanks for linking to Finished or Not Friday!

What a sweet quilt! I am not a fan of the bowtie block, but this arrangement I really love.
