Oh Scrap! : Simple and Quick

Due to some unplanned obligations, I didn't find too much time to sew this week.  And what time I did have, I spent sewing the binding on my Donuts quilt and preparing my outdoor gardens for fall.  I am hoping this week will allow me more time for sewing!

I did find time to dig through my 2.5" purple squares and put together three more blocks for one of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts.
It is simple but I think it will be a favorite scrap quilt for the year.

I am up to 18 finished blocks and my plan is 30.  I still need red, yellow, brown and maybe a bit more green or gray.  I will probably finish this one up in November.

What scrappy things have you been working on?

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

I always enjoy seeing your gradient color blocks! They look so good all together up on the wall. Will they get any sashing or do you plan to sew them together just as they are here?

It's been forever since I've been able to share with Oh Scrap! I totally understand why you didn't get much sewing time in this week. Summer takes precedence!

Those scrap blocks are so vibrant. I can see how that is going to be a favorite quilt.

Those blocks are lovely. Do you pre-cut your scraps into various sizes, or just cut as you need them?

Barely made it into the linky. You have given me an idea with the soscrappy colors. I can make 16 patches of each color!

Cynthia, these blocks may be simple but they are spectacular. Each one of them is like a mini colorwash sample. I am sure they would make an absolutely gorgeous quilt. I am saving this idea for RSC2020 :-)
