Oh Scrap! : Simple and Quick

Due to some unplanned obligations, I didn't find too much time to sew this week.  And what time I did have, I spent sewing the binding on my Donuts quilt and preparing my outdoor gardens for fall.  I am hoping this week will allow me more time for sewing!

I did find time to dig through my 2.5" purple squares and put together three more blocks for one of my Rainbow Scrap Challenge quilts.
It is simple but I think it will be a favorite scrap quilt for the year.

I am up to 18 finished blocks and my plan is 30.  I still need red, yellow, brown and maybe a bit more green or gray.  I will probably finish this one up in November.

What scrappy things have you been working on?

  1. I always enjoy seeing your gradient color blocks! They look so good all together up on the wall. Will they get any sashing or do you plan to sew them together just as they are here?

  7. Those blocks are lovely. Do you pre-cut your scraps into various sizes, or just cut as you need them?

  10. Cynthia, these blocks may be simple but they are spectacular. Each one of them is like a mini colorwash sample. I am sure they would make an absolutely gorgeous quilt. I am saving this idea for RSC2020 :-)
