Happy Valentine's Day to everyone!
I have been slowly working through more of my scrap blocks for the month of February. I realized when I was writing this post that I forgot to write about my finish this week. I guess you will have to wait a bit to see it next Friday.
I had previously made the yellow blocks for my Half Rectangular Triangles (HRTs). So no progress on this project for February.
And finally I finished three more of my scrappy blocks for this quilt. I am making them from 2" strips and trimming the blocks to 12" square. I think I have seen this block referred to as a Lego block. It is a great design to use up the odd bits in the scrap bin.
That is it for my scrap quilting this week. I hope all of you are staying safe and warm. No snow or ice here but the weather quickly cycles between sunny and gloomy in a matter of minutes.
- This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
- If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

I love those "lego" blocks! Do you sew them in ling strips and then cut and sew again? I definitely end up with lots of strippy pieces that could be made into that kind of block. Happy Valentines Day, Cyndy!
Always busy and always productive! I can't wait to see what your finish is!
So many wonderful scrappy projects... I'd love to see your sewing room because when I work on ONE scrappy project, my room quickly becomes a total disaster with scraps everywhere!
Bright and colorful blocks for happy quilts.
I really like those elongated triangle blocks!
I made a large twin size quilt with HRT's and had a hard time getting my machine to feed them through - I had to pull slightly from the back on every one. Have you had this experience and if so what did you do? I cut hundreds with my cutter and have enough left for two more quilts.
Very nice progress on the yellow front. I love that Lego one. ;^)
You've done lots of lovely blocks
The solids tie those postage stamps together beautifully. Love that bright blue. I am sure some nice solids will turn up at some point.
Love all the scrappy goodness you are sewing up. The colors are so engergizing.
Your scrappy blocks are so happy! The solid fabrics in your postage stamp blocks sure make those blocks extra vibrant!
You are doing great keeping up with all your scrap projects. I particularly like the idea that you are planning on finishing one for the Hands 2 Help.
I'm always impressed with your productivity and creativity - you go girl!
Do you actually sleep at nights Cynthia?? I love your present projects, so colourful, HRTs are a favourite of mine and I have a few cut from scraps, must get on with that project but it will have to wait in line.
Your HRTs look sharp and all other blocks are bright and beautiful. What method do you use to make HRTs?
