More Scrappy Love

I decided to donate one more quilt from the stack of finished quilts to Covered in Love.

Remember this RSC quilt I finished last year?  Well it has been kicking around the house just waiting for a new home.  As I was sending off a box to Covered In Love for the Hands2Help quilt challenge, I decided to stuff this one in as well.

The blocks for this quilt were super simple and all of the fabric for the quilt top came out of the scrap bins.  Turning my scraps into donation quilts just seems to make sense to me.  So many people donate their leftovers to me so it feels good for me to then pass them on to some great organizations.

I will definitely revisit this design one of these years.  Maybe I will switch the placement of lights and darks to see how it changes things up.

I am definitely ready to sew some scraps!

If you want to read more about the Hands2Help quilt drive event or Covered in Love just follow the links to read how you can participate.

Have a great weekend everyone!

I love this simple design quilt. I have to work on my scraps too. They are as bad as the weeds in my garden, lol. ;^)

This is a wonderful quilt. Did you use the same number of strips for each block? It looks like you used different sizes. Your color choices really are appealing.

I love seeing your baskets of scraps! That's the system I'll use someday when I have a bigger studio. Thank you for donating this fun, spinny quilt to CiL :)

As many great scrap quilts as you finish, you never seem to run out of scraps. Changing the value placement seems like a fun experiment

This would be a great pattern to use when I have some spare time to stitch up a block here and there. Yours is beautiful and certain to be loved :)

I really like this one and it's an excellent choice for RSC. I never got off the ground last year, or this with RSC, but think I'll declare July the start of a new year and this would be an easy block to use. There's always so much inspiration from all my favorite bloggers and not enough time to implement them. The scrap supply is definitely not an issue. I hope to get in some outdoor work today after being away since Thurs.
