Oh Scrap! : Time for Purple

The RSC color for June is purple - my favorite color!

So the very first blocks I made in purple are my Well Suited blocks.  These blocks are made using one of my Scrap Mixology patterns.

Here is how all the finished blocks look together right now.  This quilt is going to look very different than a lot of the other quilts I made using the same pattern.  You can see some here and here.

I still need to finish my pinwheel blocks.  I am using the bonus triangles from the geese component to make these little cuties.  Hopefully I will have them done to share with you next Sunday.

I also finished up nine blocks for my Positivity Plus quilt.  This is a QAL hosted by Sew Preeti Quilts.  The blocks go together really quickly and I love how it is looking.  You can read more about this QAL on Preeti's blog.

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Quilting is more fun than Housework

If you haven't heard yet, Bernie over at Needle &Foot is closing her Etsy store so now is a great time to pick up some great fabric at a fabulous price.  If you are participating in the Positivity QAL maybe you need some background fabrics.  And let's not forget to start looking for a backing now.

There is such a great selection of fabrics!

Your rainbow of well-suited blocks is so pretty! And I love your Positivity blocks with the turquoise corners, too. I haven't had a chance to start any of those yet, but they're on my list! Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

Lots of progress here! The snowball layout is a lot of fun - Also, liking the way you are varying the gray background fabrics for the Positivity quilt. It makes it more interesting to look at the variety of patterns.
Thank you for the shout out on the sale. It is going gang busters and I am appreciative for everyone sharing it widely! :-)

I absolutely love the colour purple! Your Positivity Plus blocks have me interested - not too tricky to make and could be scrappy or co-ordinated.
