Usually in my quilt making process, the sewing together of blocks is my bottleneck. But lately, the biggest stack has been those projects waiting for their bindings!
Today I am ready to share another Rainbow Scrap Challenge finish. This one was made using 2" strips of varying lengths. I trimmed up each block to 12" square.
When I placed the blocks, I turned them 90 degrees from the last so that I didn't have to match many seams. I really love the look.
When I pulled the scraps for each block, I also tried to group color hues to make the blocks.
I have also fallen in love with a new wide backing. These big dots work so well with these rainbow color block type quilts. I probably have enough for a smaller lap quilt but I have already added more to my Connecting Threads cart for some future quilts.

Wow love you rainbow quilt! Did you have a pattern you went by? I'd love to try that to!
Another happy finish! I love the interest turning the blocks 90 created!
congrats on another sweet finish!
The backing is so fun and perfect for the RSC quilt; I'm glad Connecting Threads still has more for you to get. I look forward to seeing your finishes!
Love the quilt and all the different hues in there. I bet it would work great with smaller blocks, too. I used that same backing and was super surprised to see the size of the dots when it showed up in the mail. It works great!
How pretty! Love the blocks and the quilt as a whole. What a great way to use up little strips and strings.
So, so pretty. I love this quilt.
Congratulations on your latest finish for RSC - it's a beauty!

Super cute RSC quilt finish, Cynthia!!
So this block is like a "slab' block using 2"srips and then trimming to size?
Excellent choice for your backing! And it's such a cheery quilt to bring a smile to someone this holiday season. Well done!
