Thought I would Never Finish

My initial plan was to be sharing a quilt finish today.  But I am going to have to settle with just having the finished quilt top to share.

I really loved this project when I started it.  But as I started making the blocks, I realized they took quite a bit of time to cut and sew all those tiny flip corners.

I thought I would never finish all the blocks!

But I did finally finish them this week.  And I have to admit, I am really pleased with how it turned out.

This project really cleaned out all the big chunks clogging up my blue scrap bin and the flip corners ate through a lot of crumbs.

Hopefully this weekend I can get the backing sewn and maybe I can get it quilted next week.

Now I can move on to something else!

That quilt top may have taken longer than expected, but it looks fantastic! That is one of my favorite color combos--dark blues with bright yellow and orange accents.

This is a beautiful top, and so worth the time of stitching all those flippy corners.

That is a really striking design! I love the contrast of the dark blues and the brights. Definitely worth the time it took to get it to this point!

Super quilt! Love the contrasts between the dark blue strips and the bright flippy corners creating rows of small triangles. Delightful!

Did I miss the mention of the pattern? Or could you send that to me? Your top is very lovely. Scrappy, popping orange on that dark blue... Awesome! Enjoy the flimsy finish and all the best for 2022. xo Melanie
