A UFO Finish

I have said it in previous years, but truly, this year I am focused on finishing some old UFOs.

I am joining forces with a friend who has the same goal so we are supporting each other.

My project for February was to make something with these blocks.  I either needed to make more and make a quilt....

Or I initially thought about combining them with these old blocks into a wall hanging.

Once I thought about it, I decided to just turn these blocks into a large table runner.

When I started analyzing the project, there were a few things that were quite clear....

1. I did NOT want to make more blocks.
2. I did not need a wall hanging and I wasn't sure it was something that I could sell.
3. I put so much work into these, I couldn't just abandon the project.
4. I need to just keep it simple!

It measures 19 x 62" long.  I would love to keep it but it is larger than any table I own.
So it will be going into my Etsy shop and hopefully find a new home soon.

I am just happy I crossed these blocks off my list.

I found fabric for the borders, backing and binding in my stash.
I am super pleased with how it turned out.

So far I have finished UFOs in January and February.  I am thinking hard about abandoning my March project and replacing it with something else on my list.  Hmmmm...or maybe something new!

Before I go, I just want to remind everyone that you can still buy the Pre-Cut Pattern Bundle.  All ten of the above patterns for $19.  You can read more about it on this post.

Or buy it through the button below.

I appreciate you purchasing your Precut Pattern Bundle through my site.

Have a great weekend!

What a gorgeous runner that turned into, Cynthia!! It really was a perfect solution for a small number of quilt blocks. Congratulations on marking another UFO off the list!

Good choice, it makes a beautiful runner. I cannot make any big quilts anymore for various reasons, so I am trying to scale back and make smaller items. It does take another type of "vision" I think. Smaller seems to mean more precise piecing and really good color choices--at least for me. I am struggling with those issues right now...and as for UFOs--
I will be tackling those as soon as I can manage to get my head around each one's problem (i.e. the reason I stopped making it!!). Nice work on using these blocks hugs, Julierose

Oh yes I think you chose wisely to make these blocks into this table runner, I bet it won't last long in your shop.
