I have been so busy working on my donation quilt project, I forgot to share anther quilt I made using my Scrap Mixology Chunky block.
This quilt just makes me dream of summertime and picnics.
I did pull a background fabric out of my stash and use the same fabric for the white centers.
The blocks are all made from various chunky prints I had in my scrap bins. The lime striped fabric really pulled them all together.
I put an amazing orange floral I got from Connecting Threads on the back.
My Scrap Mixology patterns are each focused on a type of scrap and the Chunky Block helps to use those project leftovers and big chunks. The block is super simple but there are so many layouts you can create. I have already shared other quilts here and here.
If you are interested in making your own Chunky block quilt, you can find the 16 page pattern in my Etsy Shop. You can also view all of my other Scrap Mixology patterns here.
Hope this finish brought you dreams of summer!

The is such a fun, happy block. I also thought of summer when I saw the first photo.
Love this!! I checked out your pattern. This version is by far my favourite. Do I need a new pattern??? LOL Maybe I do....... ☺
that is a neat quilt - love it
Oh, that is fun and summery! So happy, too. It's amazing what a snowballed corner can do to change the look of a design!
So cheerful! I love it.
This absolutely makes me think of summertime picnics and lemonade... yum! I like the slight offset and movement in the green within the blocks and how you show that the block and design can be so versatile!
I love this version of the Chunky blocks. They look like Morning Glories. (I think I said that before.) Anywho! I love it! Great job! ;^)
Bright and cheerful summerly quilt, perfect for picnic!
Summer was EXACTLY the word I used when I first viewed your quilt! What a great version of your Chunky Blocks!
Beautiful chunky design, I could also see this using bright KF type florals.
I love this version with the green "ribbon", sweet and soft colors too!
I never would have though that a green would tie those warm colors together, but you’re right: It’s the perfect complement to the palette!
This is absolutely beautiful! I look forward to your blog every week and I love what you are doing.
LOVE this one!!! the colors do make you think of summer and picnics and no snow on the ground...
