Oh Scrap! : Nada

I don't have anything scrappy to share with you today.  I think the only scraps I touched this week were a few that I made and had to try and stuff into my scrap bins.

But I did do a lot of other exciting things this week. Hopefully I will have exciting news to share with you soon.

So today I will share my friend Penny's scrap quilt with you.  I guess it isn't really made from tiny scraps.  But is it made from leftovers from previous projects.  Like me, she has been cleaning her stash out and finding ways to use her flannel bits and flannel leftovers.

This 60 x 72" quilt is all flannel - so it is really soft and snuggly.  It will be going to a children's charity and will probably be gifted to a teenage boy.

This week we are delivering to the local hospital and to Bags of Love.  We will be sending out well over 60 quilts.  Great job everyone!

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Quilting is more fun than Housework

Sorry you didn't get to play with any scraps this week. You've definitely been busy collecting all those quilts for donation. Hope you get the chance to play with scraps a bit this next week.

Sometimes that is all any of us do with our scraps - figure out where to put them! We know you are eating, sleeping, and breathing quilts these days - maybe not from your own scraps, but always on your mind. 60 quilts donated just this week is amazing! Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

Your friend's quilt is cute! I would call these leftovers "big scraps" lol. Wow, 60 quilts to deliver! Great job!

Hi Cynthia, we don't always have quilting or stitching stuff to share - there are times when other things in life take over. As always, thanks for the party! I'm having fun adding little splashed of scraps in my art quilts - I never forget my love of quilting!
