This week, I have gone back to cutting in preparation for a Sew Day Fundraiser we are having September 20th. I will have more specific information soon. I try to only do the cutting in spurts and then let my shoulders rest. I have plenty of time to get it all prepared.
I have been pulling any and all scraps we have that will work for kid blocks. I have already cut the 4.5" squares and now I am working on the 2.5" strips. As I am sorting scraps, any that make a good binding candidate are getting cut, sewn, pressed and rolled.
All of this work had better make a huge dent in our scraps!
I do need to start a new scrap quilt but I haven't seen anything lately that inspires me. I am sure something will pop up soon.

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps. Here are the details for linking up:
- This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
- You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
- If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
- If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
- This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
- Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

Those rainbow stripes are going to be fun in the kids' quilts! You're smart to spread out your cutting sessions, too. Have a relaxing Sunday, Cyndy!
Good luck with all your cutting! Scraps are a lot of work, but they make the best quilts!
I hope that all your preparations for your sew day come together and that you have enough; but, not too much for the day. It is going to be an amazing party!
Haven't you learned in your long years of quilting that scraps, in the dark of night, multiply and replenish the earth? LOL. I've made scrap quilts thinking it would use up lots, and when all finished find that I can't tell that I used anything. I sure enjoy seeing all the creative ways you and others make scrappy quilts. I love the inspiration you share.
I would hope someone in your group has an Accuquilt that would help in the hand and shoulder stress. Just ask.
Cutting kits is one of the hardest things to do. Hope you get lots prepped this week.
