Oh Scrap! : Let the Scraps Lead

I still have been busy sewing up blocks for a number of scrap quilts that are in the works.

The main project I have been working on is my blue Well Suited blocks.

As I make the flying geese components for the center, I have been using those bonus triangles to make a bunch of cute pinwheel blocks.  They look so cute all stacked up!

I only have about 6 more blocks to finish and then I can play a bit more with the layout and sew up the blocks.  But I kept thinking about those cute little pinwheels....

Then I thought about some of my RSC blocks.  They are just the right size to work with the pinwheel blocks.  I tried laying them out interspersed among the HRTs.  Or I could use the pinwheels around the outside border.  I will definitely be playing with these more in the future.

It is fun to see just where the scraps lead you!

I love your flying geese, but it's the pinwheels/HRTs that made me go "ooooOOOOOOoo!"

Well Suited is looking so good up on your wall and your idea of mixing the pinwheel with split rectangle is a brilliant one, possibilities galore here.
