Fridays are for Finishes

I just realized I haven't posted any finishes this week.  The newsletter gets released later tonight so I have been focused on getting that done.  We are still completing quilts at the rate of about one per day.

I always feel like we are cheating when we make a quilt from just a panel.  But this little quilt is so very cute, I am not sorry at all!  Kathy sent in this panel and the lovely fabric for the backing.  I sent it off to local longarm quilter Terry and she finished it up for us.

This little quilt is so soft and sweet.  Mari sent in this quilt top and we used a soft flannel that Kristin sent in.  I almost forgot to share this one.  The quilt was delivered over a month ago, so it is probably already bringing comfort and being loved.

Kristi sent in this dark gray little alligator quilt.  I think this is one of the quilt tops I loaded onto my longarm using a long piece of yardage.  I just added one top after another and quilted up quite a few tops with minimal set up.

I sewed up this quilt top using a few blocks that Mari sent in.  She finished a quilt top using some of these blocks that we shared long ago.  I finally found a great print that I could use as an alternate block to the 4-patches thanks to Samantha.  I used the rest of the fabric on the back with a chunk of bright yellow.  This quilt has a very summery vibe.

Denice sent in this quilt top.  In fact, it was actually two small infant quilts that I sewed into one longer cot quilt.  We don't have a need for too many small infant quilts so now it is slated to be delivered next week.  It is getting cooler so we put a pretty blue flannel on the back.

We have had this flannel quilt top by Kristin for a long while.  It is all flannel so we wanted to wait until the fall to finish it up.  Kristin also sent in the backing for this one and local quilter Cindy quilted it up.

We are constantly changing how we pull top/blocks for quilting.  As we get smarter about how we work and our inventory grows, we are able to pull items so they get finished as we need them.  This cuts down on the storage space required for finished quilts.  Soon I hope to publish a sheet with most needed quilt sizes and desired binding widths.  My hope is to have it done by the end of October!

Have a great weekend!
