I found some time this morning to sew the blocks that have been taking up space on my design wall for a couple of months into a quilt top. That means I can start working on something new!

So six scrappy projects are nearly finished. I am going to have a lot to share soon!

Oh Scrap! : Still Making Progress
This last week I continued to work on finishing blocks for a few of my scrappy projects.
Look what I found! I knew I had made four of these Chaser blocks last week. I found this missing one in a wrong stack of blocks.
So it has been another busy week of working on scrappy blocks.
I look forward to lots of finishes soon!

Happy Little Quilt Finish
Happy Friday!
I get to cross another finished quilt off my list. Yahoo!! This one isn't very big but I think it turned out pretty darn adorable!
The inspiration for this project was the little moon/star panel bit that came in a bag of scraps. I came across it when I was digging through my gray scraps. It is a funny shade of gray and coral so I wasn't sure I would have the proper shades of scraps. Ha!
I was able to quickly confirm I had plenty.
I dug though my scraps and cut everything into 3.5" squares. I did find a few fat quarters in my stash that would work so I quickly cut those up with my AccuQuilt cutter.
I decided to go ahead and use the coral and brown stripe I shared in a previous post. I really didn't have anything else that work for the back. I really like how it looks. I quilted it in some swirls and bound it with a black and gold star fabric.
I thought it was funny the quilting now looks like my star is grumpy...
I really like how it turned out. It is 36" square - just perfect for a wee one!
(I don't usually share my "mistakes", but when I was sewing up the bottom four rows, somehow I got the order of the blocks all messed up. I am constantly amazed at how I can turn around things in the three feet I walk from my design wall! So I did end up with some vertical areas of gray not in the original layout...no way I am gonna get out my seam ripper for that!)
I hope everyone has a wonderful weekend. It is supposed to rain here...I can't wait!!

Oh Scrap! : Various Blocks
I have a large pile of various cut blocks sitting next to my sewing machine so that when I get a moment, I can go in there and sew a few seams. I never quite know what blocks are going to end up being completed. But I seem to have made some more progress this week.
I finished up six more RSC Well Suited blocks. I think I just need to sew the pieces next to my machine and I will have enough for my quilt. This quilt is really scrappy and will probably end up being a donation quilt at some point.
I always like to have a few of those on hand!
I only completed one of my pinwheel blocks.
At least it had a bit of orange in it for September's RSC color!
And speaking of orange, I finished up 3 more Chaser blocks to add to the four turquoise blocks I sewed last month. (I could have sworn I sewed up four orange blocks so I think one is hiding somewhere - I am sure I will find it soon.)

Low Hanging Fruit
In my efforts to pare down my project list, I decided to see what items I could complete quickly. Early this year I cut up a bunch of fabric to make some little gifts.
This was definitely some low hanging fruit and is now crossed off the list!

Happy Mail
I haven't bought any fabric in a really long time. I have been really determined to use what I have. But in working on a few projects, I finally admitted that I needed to replenish my white on white stash. I think I have used every tiny bit in my house.
