Oh Scrap! : Finished is Better than Perfect!

Last Sunday, many of you voted on which color of sashing I should use to get this quilt top finished.  Blue was the resounding winner.

It is not a perfect scrap quilt but the top is now finished, and I can move on to the next scrap quilt.  Thanks to everyone who voiced an opinion.

I know there were some that wanted me to spend more time, remove blocks or find other colors than the ones I shared.  They were all good ideas, but the truth is, I just didn't want to put any more energy into this quilt.  I knew if I didn't get it finished, it would turn into a UFO and I probably would have never gone back to it.

I don't really mind how it looks.  With a brighter backing to liven it up, I think it will be just fine.  And I have plenty of that blue to use as binding if I decide it needs a matching frame.

Hope you all have a fantastic week!

Blue was absolutely the right color! Now it's a finished top which will be a nice quilt for someone. Good job!

The blue fabric looks very nice, perfect in fact! Whoever receives this quilt will be very happy with it. Thanks for all the work you and your friends put into making/finishing these compassion quilts!

I like it - there's a very Spring flowery vibe going on with it! The blue would make a good frame all the way around as a binding, too. I know exactly what you mean about just wanting to get this quilt done, so it won't end up as a UFO! Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

The blue really works with those blocks. Done and off the UFO list is much better than perfect.

It actually doesn't look that bad. The sashing makes a big difference. You are absolutely right; move on. There's a room for every quilt and this one will be loved by someone too. Enjoy your next project. ;^)

That blue does brighten it up, and blue binding would be a great frame to finish it with

That blue worked great to liven up those blocks! I'm glad you went with adding sashing and finishing the top. It will be a great quilt to snuggle under.

Congrats on finishing a top! I agree - finished is better than sitting in the UFO pile. It looks like it will be perfect to snuggle under.
