It sure seems like the end of the year is flying towards me. But I still found some time to do a bit of weekend sewing.
I finished up all of my scrappy blocks and they are ready to be sewn together.
This should be a finish soon!
I also sewed up another Burgoyne Surround block. If you follow me on Instagram, you saw the block before I did a bit of "surgery" on it. It is so easy to get a few pieces turned on this block. Especially in the colors I have chosen.
The blocks sure are pretty up on the wall. But I still have quite a ways to go. I am planning on twelve blocks but I might stop at nine. I just really like how square quilts look.

that looks like a complicated quilt to make for some reason but I'm sure if you break it down into segments it flows smoothly
These blocks are a lot of fun together! I love the pops of pink. Glad you are making progress on your Burgoyne blocks, too!
You didn't waste any time if fixing your block! It took me a while to see the mistake! The top one really turned out nice! Thank you so much for another year full of fun and inspiring Link-Up's. I enjoy taking part in them as it's a great way to see what others are up to! XOXO
BS is looking good! I can't believe how different it looks in a limited color scheme. Ever since I finished my top I have seen variations in old books and magazines I have that I never noticed before. I like them all!
I'll be interested in seeing how you quilt yours! I have no plan yet.
You are also a LOT closer to done, if you decide to stop at NINE blocks!! :o))
I love the purple quilt. Both it and your blue quilt are looking great!
I think square quilts are really visually appealing, too. The Burgoyne Surround blocks are looking wonderful together!
I'm loving those blocks, Burgoyne Surround is on my bucket list of quilts I want to make someday!
The mix of pink, purple and blue is really nice, does not look scrappy at all. I admire, anyone who will tackle BG. They really lend themselves to a square format, go for the nine.
I love your scrappy blocks. Beautiful color combination.
Square quilts seem to be rare, don't they? I like them too. But mostly I just make blocks until I'm tired of them, then figure out what kind of layout works with what I have :)
Your purple and grey and blue quilt looks great!
a quilt with a chain! And its perfect! Not just two fabrics, but lots of fabrics!
I love square quilts, too. (For one thing, they're easier to fold up and to lay out again - no worries about which is the longer side!)
I've got my Burgoynes done and the sashing pieces cut. Now just need to take the time to lay it out and sew it together. And possibly start another one...
