I gutted and remodeled my kitchen back in December of 2013. I had a long list of items I wanted to make to decorate it. Many I finished but there are some projects I still have on my "to-do" list. Well, Enough is Enough and I just need to make it a priority and finish them.
Getting them finished means I will be able to cross off FOUR items on my UFO list.
The first project I need to finish is to sew up some valances for two windows. I have been holding onto this fabric and just need to sew up something simple. My windows have blinds so this is just a decorative item to add more color to the room.
And I STILL need to turn my Sew Kitschy blocks into a wall-hanging to fill an empty wall in the little kitchenette. Due to the thick layers in these intricate paper-pieced blocks, I think I just don't want to quilt it and that is why I keep sending it to the bottom of the pile.
I just need to get it done!
A quick and simple project is to make a new table cloth for my dinette. The one I made back in 2014 has gotten stained and needs replacing. A friend gave me this fabric which is perfect so it is all washed and ready to be cut and sewn.
The last project is to make some new potholders and maybe some more cloth napkins from the stacks of orange and turquoise fabric I have set aside all these years for the kitchen. Once I get these last items completed, I can put all that fabric back into my stash and make it available for other projects.
I know I have said this before, but I am determined this time to get these finished up.
Seven years is too long on the "to-do" list!
Wish me luck :)

Cute Sew Kitschy blocks, Look forward for seeing your new wall-hanging.
They sound like relatively easy and fun projects, Cynthia. Especially in relation to the good feeling of getting them off your list and into use! Please share pictures!,
You can do it, one bite at a time. You have already defined it, now look at one step at a time.
You can do it! I hope you feel energized to keep working through the list as you cross items off of it. :)
Yay! That wall hanging will see the light of day - hurray! I for one didn't forget about it. It sounds like everything will be well coordinated and just lovely. Now get 'er done!
I'd say that since you have announced your intentions on the blog, you have enlisted all of us to hold you accountable. So I guess you'd better get started, although I'm not sure what we can do if you don't follow through. Maybe Sally won't send you any more ugly fabric.

I love those Sew Kitschy blocks! You can do this!
Get'er done Cynthia !!! Looking forward to seeing that cute wallhanging !
Do it! You could also call the blue tape look a new modern style and leave the quilt blocks as is on the wall. You might start a new trend and give us all a good excuse for not finishing.
Cute Sew Kitschy blocks! Yes, you can do it ;))
It will be like a brand new remodel again when you get these done! Love the valance fabric.

I so love those Sew Kitschy blocks. You need to finish it up so everyone can see it in your house. You know you can. Go for it, girl! ;^)
I love the colors you have (or will have) in your kitchen. Such a vintage vibe! Good luck on your list of projects!
G-O-O-D luck with your projects...xox
Liberating the scraps when you finish a project is the best feeling! Always so much fun to feed the bins with all the extras that have been saved away for ages. Can't wait to see a photo of your finished kitchen when you get all those projects done!.
The Sew Kitschy blocks are fabulous!
Neat idea for the valances.
