I was worried I wouldn't have a finish again this week. And even though it is late Friday, I did get the flimsy finished for my baby quilt.
This quilt was started using this little panel piece. It came in a scrap bag from a friend years ago. I simply pulled a bunch of scraps to make an easy patchwork.
The colors in this are actually more of a coral and the gray has a lot of brown in it. I struggled a bit to find the right colors of scraps. The grays I had were too blue and the pinks were too pink.
The quilt is pretty small - I think it measures 36" square.
I have been looking through my stash for a backing but everything has been too small. I did find this coral and gray piece that I think I can make work. If I don't find something better thru the weekend, this will be my choice.
I also have been working on a LOT of blocks for other quilts. I will be sharing those on Sunday. I hope to have even more done by then!
Have a great weekend!

That's so cute! The patchwork surround is perfect for the little panel piece. Isn't that crazy how the shades of color can vary so much. I've had orange out this week - some of it is more pink, some of it is more red. And they don't always go together!
Too cute now that you have a flimsy! I know what you mean about shades. . .sometimes I get stuck because I'm not confident in what I'm seeing other than, I'm not "feeling" my selection!
That looks like a great backing option for your sweet little quilt, Cynthia!!
I think the stripe for the backing looks great; hopefully it's big enough (although if not I don't know anyone betters suited to make it work).
Oh I do love the centre panel with the moon and star - perfect for a little one, great backing fabric!
That little quilt is turning out so ADORABLE! Love the little starter piece and you've made it shine.
Ohhh So cute!! I am always amazed at how you take a piece and come up with something so great!
