January's Placemats

One of my RSC projects this year is to sew my crumb scraps in the monthly color into placemats.

I have already finished them for the month of January.  I knew there were not going to be that many made because I didn't have that many crumbs in red.

Sorry - I forgot to take a phot of the backings.

But I did take a photo of the growing stack.  To date there are 29 finished.

I am already looking forward to seeing what the next month's color is.  I am really enjoying making these - they are really cleaning out my scrap bins!

  1. Four placemats out of crumb pieces looks great to me! I love how you consolidated all the darks into one. You're getting quite a pile of placemats there!

  3. Seeing the pile grow is so satisfying! And while you didn't have many crumbs, getting 4 placemats seems like a great quantity to me. :) I hope you have a lovely weekend.

  5. Thanks for the inspiration. I have amassed quite a collection of crumbs. I should consider doing this. Placemats are one of my "to do"s that I never seem to get around to. They are actually listed on my Quilters' Planner with suggested size but I just never get around to it.
