Oh Scrap! : This, That, Those

This week seemed to fly by so fast.  I feel like I should have a lot more to show for it - but this is all the scrap sewing I did.

I made this single 16 patch block for a future donation quilt.

I started sewing together the rows on this scrap quilt.  I still have two partial blocks I need to finish but the blocks are big so the rest of the quilt should go together quickly.

The first of the rail fence blocks are starting to arrive in my mailbox.  I am so thankful for the response I have received.  Quilters are so generous!  I should be able to make at least six quilts from these blocks for the hospital. (Which is really amazing because the small size means it takes a lot of blocks to make a quilt.)

I have already finished one quilt top.  I had made enough blocks myself to complete one of the layout designs I had planned.  I am now working on a second top.
I love how these blocks look all nestled together!

I think I know why I am probably not getting much done.  My new little helper is quickly learning that if he lays on what I am working on, he gets my attention.  His beefy frog legs and fat feet are just too tempting!

I keep telling him if he doesn't let me work, we are gonna be out on the streets!

I haven't gotten much done this last week, either, but it's not because I have a new buddy like you do! He's so cute - you're right about those feet. So glad you've had such a great response to the new quilt project for the hospital! Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

that is one of the reasons I don't get a dog - I have heard too many people say they can't get any work done - they can be great companions but a lot of work unless you really want one which I don't

I love the print fabric in the first block. Getting one block done is still progress. Great job on the rail fence blocks. I don't recall meeting this magnificent dog before. I'll have to backtrack your posts and meet this hunk. Give him a big hug for me, please. ;^)

I love the funky print in the 16 patch. How long will you be collecting rail fence blocks? I want to contribute, but life is hectic at the moment. Your helper is adorable.

SEW happy that you've gotten a good response to your new charity project, Cynthia! (Since I failed last week) I will try to find time to get to the post office with the blocks I made.

OMG he is so cute! I like your frog leg analogy... yep. I follow two little white frenchies in Korea who are hilarious and their mom calls them "potatoes" little baked potatoes. You might imagine how entertaining they are to watch on youtube!

I have some of the print fabric in your first photo. I used it in lots of kids quilts. My rail fence blocks are wending their way to you right now.

You have so many fun quilts in the works. I'd donate blocks too but I already make a lot of quilts myself to donate to various places.

Hi Cynthia, I can imagine that your new pup (how gorgeous he is!) is taking up a lot of your time. Good luck :-) The blocks are in the mail. Yeah!

Your new helper is super adorable! And that's wonderful that you've received so many rail fence blocks. I look forward to seeing how all the quilts come together.

So many pretty blocks at your place. Your little guy is just the cutest! I can see. Why he’d side track you! My scrap playing this week was mostly playing with leftover bits of roving 😉
