Oh Scrap! : Yellow Stix Blocks

I feel like I haven't gotten any scraps out in weeks.

Friday, I did get out my yellow scrap bin and make a few Stix blocks.  I needed 5 yellow blocks to finish up a Compassion Quilt top.  I knew if I waited for them to arrive in the mail, they would never come.

These blocks really do go together quickly.  If you want to read more about how these blocks are going to be used, you can read this post.

I quilted up the first quilt for this block drive.  I just need to sew on the binding and I hope to share it soon.  I am really pleased with how it turned out!

I look forward to seeing what you made with your scraps this week.

It is now your turn to share what you are making with scraps.  Here are the details for linking up:

  • This linky party is for any scrappy project - It can be in-process or a finished piece.
  • You can link up your blog post (not your homepage please) or Instagram photo from the past week that features your use of scraps.
  • If you are linking to a blog post, I ask that you link back to my blog somewhere in your post. So if you are writing about scraps, just get into the habit of including a link as there will be a linky party available every week!
  • If you are using Instagram, please use the hashtag #ohscrap.
  • This is a party so remember to socialize and comment on the posts of others.
  • Following my blog is not necessary but it sure would be great if you do!

That apple fabric is really fun. Looking forward to seeing how the new blocks work out in a quilt.

Cute apple fabric. I would have found it hard to leave behind the churn dashes and start anew. I suppose though, the ideas are coming and you are itching to try them out in fabric!
