Oh Scrap! : Flannel

Sadly, I didn’t get any of my scrappy HSTs this week. I went to go see if I could find any big gray scraps and I got sidetracked by Mount Flannel.

I have received a lot of flannel bits and I have just been piling them on a table in my sewing room.

I guess I was in the mood to deal with a few of them.

I pulled out a lot of the smaller chunks and decided to cut them up into 6.5” squares.

I then sewed them up into this cozy quilt top. I probably won’t be quilting this top until the Fall but it was nice to make some progress on the flannel scrap front. I still have enough flannel scraps to make another three or four tops but they will have to wait for another day.

Happy Scrappy!

That's a neat design! Sometimes sewing with squares is just the best thing. Have a great Sunday, Cyndy!

I love this flannel quilt. It's always nice to deal with the mountains of fabric pieces every so often! ~Jeanne

Love this quilt! This is a pattern that would work for our charity quilts. Mostly simple, but that border spices it up. Larger squares, like this, are what our group needs. I’m glad that inspiration hit you :)

Good for you for making a dent in your flannel fabrics. Not too many people would be interested in flannel quilts just as summer is starting.

Pretty flannel quilt! How do you press the seams? I have some pieces of flannel just sitting there that could be turned into something.

Scraps are scraps and a finish is a finish! It doesn't matter if it was part of your plan or not. Nice job! Thanks for hosting the party for all of us party-goers. Blessings!

Out of the piles and into a quilt has to feel good. Hope you get more time for the HSTs this week.
